Read on to learn how we’re supporting the St Catherine’s Hospice Heart to Heart Trail
Freeman Brothers Funeral Directors is delighted to be supporting the St Catherine’s Hospice Heart to Heart trail, by sponsoring a specially-designed heart sculpture, which will be on display to the public this summer. In 2019, our Crawley branch celebrates it’s tenth anniversary, and we wanted to mark the occasion with a variety of community events. Having seen successful sculpture trails in nearby Brighton, we’re delighted that one has come further north, giving residents of Crawley, Horsham, and the surrounding areas the opportunity to engage with an art exhibition throughout the region.
The hearts have been designed by local artists, and will be on display for ten weeks, including the summer holidays. The interactive art trail allows members of the public to enjoy these works of art whilst getting out and about, learning more about their community and what happens within it.
When visitors reach the heart, there will be a code to input online, which then displays further details of the heart and the sponsor – make sure you “check in” with the Freeman Brothers one in particular, as you’ll be shown further details of how to help us celebrate our tenth anniversary, and receive a goodie bag for your efforts!
Once the exhibition ends, the hearts are being gathered up and will be displayed all together for one night only at a special exhibition, during which the hearts will also be auctioned off to raise further funds for the hospice, and find permanent homes.
Keep your eyes peeled for further hints about the heart trail and how you can get involved – we’ll be saying more as soon as we can, but we don’t want to spoil the surprise! You can also find out more about Heart To Heart if you’re in Horsham town centre on Thursday 14 February – Community Co-Ordinator, Becky will be volunteering with St Catherine’s Hospice at a special launch event. If you’re out and about, come and say hello!
St Catherine’s Hospice provides hospice care to those in West Sussex and East Surrey – you can find out more about their brilliant work via their website.
